About Me
Former Australian lawyer who decided to follow his passion in writing. Commenced blog while studying in the UK. I’ve been told that creativity is a muscle that needs to be exercised, and the best exercise is to write. So here goes.
I can be contacted privately at: pacejmiller@gmail.com
So you’ve named your muscle “Creativity”?
Will you be posting samples of your novel? excerpt? chapters? for critique?
Thanks for the comment – and yes, I will be hoping to post excerpts, but it’ll probably be a while…still trying to finish off the first draft! And at the moment, it’s not looking very pretty.
hey, well sometimes “not very pretty” is just the way it is. I’m not a professional or published writer but I’m a writer nonetheless, it’s the only thing that keeps me sane. I had a hard time realizing that you don’t achieve perfection the first time out but as you edit and re-edit that first draft, so don’t pull your hair out just yet. If it interests you, you can read some of my stuff at http://theninthdragonking.blogspot.com/
Hey! Awesome blog(s) (I went to both your blogspot and wordpress ones). Keep up the good work!
Thanks. I wanted to keep my serious stuff and my goofy, punkish self separate. I look forward to reading your stuff.
Yo Pace!
Have you heard of this place: mcsweeneys.net? two people have directed me to it, apparently its an independent publish house/creative writing magazine founded by Dave Eggers full of lots of funny, irreverant writing.
Speaking of writing, how’s the novel coming along? I know you have your exams and all but I was wondering if you had make any progress or if blogging still truncating it. I’ve written 20 more pages of mine though I haven’t written a single word in two weeks and blogging its (partly) to blame for that.
No, will definitely check out mcsweeneys!
Novel progress….big zero…I’m going to put up a short post about that tomorrow morning, and then probably no to minimal blogging for the next 10-12 days!
Perhaps if you want to be a writer, you might consider that you need to have something interesting to write about. I mean, blogging about the Golden Globes? Seriously, how fucking boring are you?
Sadly probably a fair comment
Just found you while Googling photos of Tivoli. I was super happy to have picked your photo and then to find your great review of Copenhagen and Stockholm.
How long ago were you there? How do I find more writings on others Baltic cities you may have experienced. Well done. Hope you continue with travel reviews. You sound like the “average” traveler and thats us too….
Oh thank you. I was only in Copenhagen and Stockholm for a couple of days each – wish we had more time to see the museums in depth. I haven’t visited many other Baltic cities, unfortunately, though I will definitely continue with the travel reviews!
awsome..
really loved the articles on agassi..
as i am great fan of him
keep continuing the articles on agassi..plz
Thanks man
As long as Agassi stays in the spotlight I will try and think of more things!
Cheers
I found your blog researching places to visit in Germany. I will be heading there in about a month to visit a friend. However I discovered you are also a writer! I am a fantasy writer as well and have a blog about it too: http://www.limitlessandreah.blogspot.com Although you have had a blog longer than I, lol.
Hey! Thanks for visiting. I just checked out your blog and it’s sensational! Keep up the good work.
Found something you might want to join: http://exlawyersclub.wordpress.com/
Great, great blog you have here. I’ve been a frequent visitor, Pace, and it’s fantastic. You are a very talented writer by the way. Keep at it and you will go far!
Thanks! Much appreciated.
Stumbled across your blog. Not sure if you’re already familiar with Nanowrimo (national novel writing month), or whether you’d find it helpful. I did, though I still haven’t touched the 65,000 word draft I wrote in 2009.
Yes I am and I’ve never done it, despite having wanted to do it for the last couple of years (but chickened out)! Maybe this year?
Hi, nice to meet you !
nice to…meet you too…
Good day!
I stumbled on this blog and had the most fun reading about Agassi, Chang, Becker!! And your bit on Chinese spit was remarkably hilarious!!
I am Karthik and am an amateur blogger would thank you immensely if I receive some feedback from you on my writing.
Cheers
K.
I have read a little bit here and am enjoying what I have read so far. (I don’t often read on the net.) I see you have a corps of loyal followers. I wish you the very, very best.
Thank you very much sir!
hey there! i stumbled across your list of favourite ‘rewatchable movies of all-time’. i agree with your zoolander and happy gilmore comments. on a different note, can i just say good on you for following your passion! i reckon it’s awesome! i’m currently practicing, and to keep me ‘sane’, i immerse myself in the world of fashion and feature writing after hours and weekends. hope you’re well over there.
